Sylvia Sloots has an unstoppable need to paint. The paintings in her abstract series are mostly inspired by her inner world, her current emotions and contemporary events. She loves the challenges from her personal perspective as an artist. She wants to take the viewer along into a world of happy colours and smooth lines but also gives you the feeling that you can float in your own boundless fantasies.
Sylvia also uses materials that create structures on the painting. Whether it’s working with paste or self-cut branches or sand, it’s a great love of her to make structures in het paintings. Since she works with structures, she knows that there are endless possibilities for further development.
Artistic freedom is a great thing
